Admission Procedure

At Green Home Matric. Hr. Sec. School, we welcome students who are eager to learn and grow in a nurturing and disciplined environment. Admissions are open to boys and girls across all grades from Pre-KG to Class XII. The admission process is transparent, merit-based, and guided by the norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Academic Session

The academic year begins in June and ends in April, with vacations in September and December.

Admission Guidelines

  • Pre-KG Admission: Open to children aged 2 years and above.
  • LKG Admission: Children aged 3 years and above are eligible.
  • Other Classes (UKG – Class X):
  • Age eligibility
  • Interaction or entrance skill assessment
  • Availability of seats
  • Class XI Admissions: Based on performance in the Class X public examination and availability in selected groups (Science or Commerce streams).
  • All admissions are subject to seat availability and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

  • Birth Certificate Original and one photocopy
  • Transfer Certificate from the previous school mandatory for Class II and above
  • Community Certificate if applicable
  • Previous Year’s Report Card or Mark Statement
  • Passport Size Photographs – 2 copies
  • Aadhar Card Copy of the student and parents
  • Medical Certificate if any special needs or allergies are present

Note: Admission is confirmed only upon submission of all required documents and payment of the prescribed fees.

Application Process

  • Application forms and prospectus can be collected at the school office between 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on working days.
  • Forms should be duly filled and submitted along with necessary documents.
  • An admission interaction session may be scheduled for the student and parents.
  • On successful verification, admission confirmation and fee details will be shared.

Withdrawal & Transfer Guidelines

We understand that due to various personal or academic reasons, parents may seek withdrawal of their child from school. The following policies are in place for such requests:

Withdrawal Process
  • A written application for withdrawal must be submitted to the Principal at least one week in advance.
  • If a Transfer Certificate (TC) is required, it must be clearly mentioned in the application.
  • All dues and fees must be cleared before the TC is issued.
  • TC will be issued only after:
  • Library books and other materials are returned
  • Clearance from accounts and admin departments
Important Notes:
  • No refund of fees will be provided after admission, unless due to exceptional circumstances reviewed by the management.
  • Withdrawal during the middle of the academic year is discouraged but may be allowed under valid grounds.
  • Transfer certificates will not be processed on demand or the same day — please allow 3–5 working days for processing.
